Crispy, golden toast with a gooey egg and melty cheese center—made fast in the air fryer. A simple, satisfying breakfast ready in under 10 minutes.
2 slices thick bread (sourdough, brioche, or Texas toast)
2 eggs
½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or preferred)
1 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: cooked bacon, scallions, spinach, red pepper flakes
Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 mins.
Press a shallow well into each bread slice. Brush edges with butter or oil.
Add cheese inside the well. Crack 1 egg into each slice. Season with salt and pepper.
Air fry for 6–8 minutes, depending on desired yolk doneness.
Carefully remove and serve warm with optional toppings.
Use thick bread to prevent soggy bottoms. Don’t overcrowd the basket. Eat immediately for best texture.
