Crispy, golden toast with a gooey egg and melty cheese center—made fast in the air fryer. A simple, satisfying breakfast ready in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

2 slices thick bread (sourdough, brioche, or Texas toast)
2 eggs
½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or preferred)
1 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: cooked bacon, scallions, spinach, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 mins.

  • Press a shallow well into each bread slice. Brush edges with butter or oil.

  • Add cheese inside the well. Crack 1 egg into each slice. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Air fry for 6–8 minutes, depending on desired yolk doneness.

  • Carefully remove and serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

Use thick bread to prevent soggy bottoms. Don’t overcrowd the basket. Eat immediately for best texture.
