This creamy Cajun sausage pasta is a bold, flavorful one-pot meal made with smoked sausage, Cajun spices, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce—all ready in 30 minutes.

  • 14 oz smoked sausage (Andouille or kielbasa), sliced

  • 8 oz short pasta (penne or rotini)

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 bell pepper, diced

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Brown sausage slices and set aside.

  • In the same pot, sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened.

  • Add pasta, broth, and Cajun seasoning. Stir and bring to a boil.

  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 12–15 minutes until pasta is cooked.

  • Stir in cream, Parmesan, and browned sausage. Simmer 2–3 minutes to thicken.

  • Adjust seasoning, garnish with parsley or green onions, and serve hot.
