12 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 lb ground breakfast sausage
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1/2 cup diced bell peppers or other veggies (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Butter or oil for greasing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Cook sausage in a skillet until browned. Drain and set aside.

  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

  • Spread sausage in the baking dish. Top with veggies and cheese if using.

  • Pour egg mixture over the top.

  • Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes until set in the center.

  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
