A spicy Southern chicken spaghetti casserole that’s creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor. With tender chicken, spicy seasoning, and a cheesy topping, it’s a comforting meal that packs a punch.

  • 8 oz spaghetti

  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie or cooked breast)

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook spaghetti according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.

  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic for 4–5 minutes.

  3. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, cream cheese, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until cream cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.

  4. Stir in chicken, spaghetti, sour cream, and 1 cup cheddar cheese. Combine well.

  5. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.

  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.

  7. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
