A rich and creamy Million Dollar Lasagna made with cottage cheese, ground beef, and Italian sausage, layered with marinara, tender noodles, and melty mozzarella for a family-style comfort dish.
9–12 lasagna noodles (boiled or oven-ready)
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups marinara sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 cups cottage cheese
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for sautéing
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a skillet, sauté onion in olive oil. Add garlic, beef, and sausage. Brown and drain.
Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer 10–15 minutes.
In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, and egg. Season with salt and pepper.
In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer sauce, noodles, half cheese mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat layers.
Finish with noodles, remaining sauce, and mozzarella on top.
Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15–20 more minutes. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Blend cottage cheese for a smoother texture. Add spinach for extra greens. Freeze before baking for future meals.
